My translation of poems by Kurozumi Munetada (1780-1850), a holy man of Japan who taught the way of the Heaven-illuminating Goddess and healed many. The members of Shinto Order of Kurozumikyo still strive to live up to Munetada's teachings of positive way of life.

Without knowing how blessed...
O! How wasteful it was to live in this world without knowing how blessed it was! And how glad I am to know this! (Verse 31) あら嬉しかかる嬉しき世と知らで 今まで惜しき世を送りける （お歌第31号）
