My translation of poems by Kurozumi Munetada (1780-1850), a holy man of Japan who taught the way of the Heaven-illuminating Goddess and healed many. The members of Shinto Order of Kurozumikyo still strive to live up to Munetada's teachings of positive way of life.

No heart to pray
How sad it is one has no heart to pray when he does think prayer can make all the wishes come true! (Verse No. 44) 祈りなばかなはぬことはなきものと 思へど祈る心なきとは (お歌第44号)
