My translation of poems by Kurozumi Munetada (1780-1850), a holy man of Japan who taught the way of the Heaven-illuminating Goddess and healed many. The members of Shinto Order of Kurozumikyo still strive to live up to Munetada's teachings of positive way of life.

Everything will be within me!
Overcoming the self, I am one with gods - So hence afterwards everything within the heaven and earth will be within me! (Verse No. 94) おのれに勝ちて神と一体 かくなれば今より後は天つちの 中はわが身のうちとなるらむ （お歌第94号）
