My translation of poems by Kurozumi Munetada (1780-1850), a holy man of Japan who taught the way of the Heaven-illuminating Goddess and healed many. The members of Shinto Order of Kurozumikyo still strive to live up to Munetada's teachings of positive way of life.

Whatever I face is blessed
When I live in this world with gratitude to anything, whatever I face is blessed. (Gobun No. 143) 何事もありがたいにて世にすめば むかふものごとありがたいなり (御文第143号)
