My translation of poems by Kurozumi Munetada (1780-1850), a holy man of Japan who taught the way of the Heaven-illuminating Goddess and healed many. The members of Shinto Order of Kurozumikyo still strive to live up to Munetada's teachings of positive way of life.

Althought the upstream is...
Although the upstream is the end of clear stream, its water get roiled by the boats that go in this world (Verse No. 174) 水上は清き流れのすゑなれど 世渡る舟に水のにごれる (お歌第174号)
