My translation of poems by Kurozumi Munetada (1780-1850), a holy man of Japan who taught the way of the Heaven-illuminating Goddess and healed many. The members of Shinto Order of Kurozumikyo still strive to live up to Munetada's teachings of positive way of life.

Seeing with borrowed light under the rising Sun...
Not knowing the Sun even though being born in the Land of the Rising Sun, they have to see with the borrowed light lit on branches and leaves (Verse No. 162)
