My translation of poems by Kurozumi Munetada (1780-1850), a holy man of Japan who taught the way of the Heaven-illuminating Goddess and healed many. The members of Shinto Order of Kurozumikyo still strive to live up to Munetada's teachings of positive way of life.

The moon has already set...
What a pity to sleep until the time when the moon has already set and the sun is already up! (Verse No. 136) 月は入り日ははやいでし時までも ねて暮らすこそあはれなりけれ (お歌第136号)
